Large-Scale Exercises of the Russian Federation and Belarus Zapad-2025: Threats to Ukraine and Europe

According to hvylya.net: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed serious concern regarding the extensive exercises that will take place on the territory of neighboring Belarus. The Foreign Ministry noted that this includes the CSTO maneuvers 'Interaction-2025', 'Search-2025', 'Echelon-2025', as well as joint strategic exercises of the armies of Belarus and Russia 'Zapad-2025'.

The Foreign Ministry reminded that since 2022, Minsk has become an accomplice in Russia's war against Ukraine - providing territory and airspace for strikes, and continues to support Moscow politically, militarily, and informationally.

Ukrainian diplomats emphasized that the collaboration between the regimes of Putin and Lukashenko poses a threat to European countries and acts as an obstacle to international peace initiatives, including those proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Official Kyiv called on its partners to increase pressure on Russia and Belarus, join in countering propaganda, and enhance defense assistance for Ukraine, which is actually fighting for the security of all Europe against invasions from the Kremlin.

Highlighting historical experience and warnings about potential risks, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine urged Minsk to refrain from any provocations and avoid actions near the Ukrainian border to not escalate the situation.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized: Ukraine has never posed and will not pose a threat to the Belarusian people, seeing the common history and future of the two nations within the framework of a united European family.
