Prostor Beauty Chain to Close All Its Stores Across Ukraine
Prostor Retail Network Shutting Down
According to Главком: The beauty and personal care retailer Prostor is ceasing operations and will begin a phased closure of its outlets. The decision was made by NÚMIS LLC, the company behind the brand in the Ukrainian market. The store closure process is scheduled to start on July 1, 2026. The official announcement did not specify the reasons behind this move.
Prostor operated in numerous cities across Ukraine, offering a wide range of beauty, hygiene, and household products. To date, the company has not disclosed how many stores will be closed or the timeline for the complete wind-down of the network.
New Electronic Notification System for Cosmetics
Representatives of the Prostor chain stated:
“We deeply value the journey we have shared with you and aim to complete all ongoing processes as correctly and transparently as possible.”
Meanwhile, Ukraine has launched its first electronic notification system for cosmetic products, enabling centralized registration of all cosmetics entering the market.
The closure of Prostor may signal shifts in Ukraine’s retail cosmetics sector and highlight potential challenges facing companies in the industry. The introduction of the electronic notification system could create new conditions for businesses, but its impact on firms already struggling remains uncertain. Market conditions and consumer reactions to these changes may shape the future trajectory of Ukraine’s beauty industry.
