Finance Ministry and Ukrainian Universities Launch Collaborative Initiative

According to Мінфін: On June 19, Ukraine's Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko signed cooperation agreements with four domestic universities, aiming to transform how specialists are prepared for public sector roles. This effort seeks to expand opportunities for students to engage with the Ministry's work while still pursuing their degrees.

The memorandums were formalized with the rectors of the following higher education institutions:

  • National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
  • Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman
  • State Trade and Economics University
  • State Tax University

Through these partnerships, students will gain hands-on experience working within the public sector.

We are committed to collaborating with leading Ukrainian universities, which will create more avenues for students to participate in Ministry activities while they are still studying. For students, this is a chance to acquire practical skills; for the Ministry, it is an opportunity to attract motivated future professionals. Clear career pathways in the public sector will help graduates find professional development opportunities within Ukraine.

As a result, these signed agreements open new avenues for cooperation between the Finance Ministry and higher education institutions, fostering the development of qualified personnel for public sector employment.

This Finance Ministry initiative could significantly reshape approaches to training public sector professionals, as practical experience gained during studies is crucial for the successful careers of young specialists. Involving students in Ministry operations not only helps them adapt to professional demands but also supplies the state with fresh talent ready to tackle modern challenges.
