Compensation for Farmers under the 'Made in Ukraine' Program

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture has reported the transfer of 86.3 million hryvnias in compensation to farmers for November as part of the 'Made in Ukraine' program. This program provides a 25% compensation for the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery, which has become an important tool for supporting agricultural producers.

According to the ministry, agricultural producers submitted 401 applications for the purchase of equipment, resulting in the purchase of 771 units of equipment for a total amount of over 414 million hryvnias. Under the current phase of the program, farmers have already purchased over 8,400 units of agricultural machinery. The state register of equipment eligible for compensation has been expanded to 14,425 positions from 166 factories.

Criteria and Financing of the Program

The localization criterion for equipment to receive compensation is at least 60%. From April 2025, agricultural producers must be registered in the State Agricultural Register (SAR) to receive compensation. The leader among financial partners in 2025 was Oschadbank, through which nearly 44% of all payments were made.

“The compensation program for 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery is one of the most widespread among the tools of the 'Made in Ukraine' policy,” said Vitaliy Kindrativ.

The 'Made in Ukraine' program continues to play an important role in strengthening the agricultural sector, which is critically important for the country's economy, especially in the face of global challenges. Supporting agricultural producers through compensation for part of the machinery cost can positively impact the productivity and competitiveness of Ukrainian agribusiness in the international market.

Important aspects also include:

  • localization of production;
  • strengthening cooperation between the state and financial institutions;

This can contribute to further development of infrastructure and technology in agriculture.
