Today we gather with our loved ones to celebrate the appearance of the first star that announces the birth of Christ and the beginning of Christmas. This holiday is a symbol of faith, family warmth, and unity, and it has always been such for us Ukrainians.

Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian defenders celebrate Christmas today on the front lines, defending our country. Even in wartime, our fighters try to preserve traditions: they prepare festive dishes, sing carols to create a festive atmosphere with their comrades. Traditions help us preserve our identity, even despite the enemy's attempts to destroy it.

Thank you to everyone for your protection and courage. Thank you to the families of our fighters for their patience and faith.

May the Christmas of Christ strengthen our confidence that light always overcomes darkness. Christ is born! Let us glorify Him together!
