Introducing the MUL.E: A New Electric Military Motorcycle

According to Мін. Оборони: The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has officially certified the MUL.E, the country’s first domestically produced all-wheel drive electric military motorcycle. Built by a local manufacturer, this model features full-wheel drive for effective off-road mobility and operates with minimal noise, a critical advantage in combat scenarios.

Specifications and Operational Capabilities

The MUL.E offers a range of 100 kilometers on a single charge and is equipped with two electric motors. This dual-motor setup ensures the vehicle can continue moving even if one motor fails. Additionally, it includes a gasoline generator that not only recharges the motorcycle but can also supply power to unit equipment. The bike is capable of towing a loaded trailer, making it a versatile asset for transporting troops, cargo, or evacuating wounded personnel. Its low ground pressure reduces the risk of triggering anti-tank mines, a key feature for military operations.

This certification highlights Ukraine’s growing focus on integrating innovative technologies into its defense sector. Given current battlefield challenges, vehicles like the MUL.E can significantly enhance unit mobility and operational effectiveness while reducing vulnerability. The adoption of electric powertrains also aligns with global trends toward lower environmental impact and improved energy efficiency in military hardware.
