Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: 86% defense industry enterprises have retained their status as critically important

How the defense enterprises inspection was conducted

According to Мін. Оборони: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has completed the review of the status of defense industry enterprises, with decisions made before July 7, 2026. According to the results of the inspection, 86% of companies confirmed that they meet the criteria and retained the right to reserve military personnel.

For most organizations, a simplified procedure applied: it was not required to resubmit the entire package of documents. The remaining 14% did not confirm their status; however, they can re-submit documents to the Ministry of Defense in an attempt to obtain it.

Why such re-certification is necessary

Such a review helps maintain the operation of Ukraine's defense industry in the face of constant threats. Having this status allows factories to continue engaging in tasks related to mobilization and army support, which directly impacts national security.

For companies that did not pass the inspection, the opportunity to resubmit documents means a chance to adapt to new requirements and regain their status in the future. In wartime, this reserve mechanism becomes an important way to retain qualified personnel in strategic enterprises.
