Russia announced a record drone attack: 287 UAVs across 11 regions
According to glavcom.ua: The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced a massive drone attack, which has become the largest in recent times. According to information from the publication 'Glavkom', 287 drones were shot down.
“During the past night... the latest air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 287 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the Russians stated.
Information about the attack is spreading in the Kremlin, but exact data on the number of drones that reached their targets is not provided. According to Russian authorities, the attack covered 11 regions. In total, 118 drones were 'shot down' over Bryansk region, another 40 over Kaluga and Moscow, 27 over Tula, and so on.
A fire broke out at the PJSC 'Acron' chemical plant in Veliky Novgorod on the night of December 11, likely provoked by the drone attack. The plant produces important products for the Russian economy, such as mineral fertilizers.
Moreover, Russian servicemen have started to be hospitalized in large numbers to avoid combat action, as waves of rumors began about potential troop transfers in a certain direction. Medical units of the brigades confirmed that the number of requests for their assistance has noticeably increased compared to usual.
