EBRD to allocate billions for Ukraine's recovery: details of new projects

Representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development held a working meeting with Ukrainian officials. The meeting was attended by the leaders of both sides: Harry Boyd-Carpenter and Arvid Tuerkner from EBRD, as well as the leadership of the Ministry and the Recovery Agency.

The main topic of discussion was financial sustainability and modernization of the national railway. The parties are seeking solutions to support Ukrzaliznytsia, including through compensation for passenger transport costs.

Positive results of the repair of the M-09 road Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska were also noted. The Recovery Agency presented a plan for the repair of two more highways as part of the Trans-European Transport Network project.

The working meeting with the EBRD delegation addressed the issues of financial sustainability and modernization of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. The parties discussed plans to support the company and the positive results of road repairs in Ukraine. Such meetings demonstrate the importance of international cooperation for the development of Ukrainian infrastructure and the economy as a whole.
