The Ministry of Development will purchase heating equipment for communities for 25 million euros: what cities will receive
The Ministry of Development expands cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH
According to Міністерство інфраструктури: The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine continues its cooperation with GIZ to support communities affected by war. As part of the EMPOWER project, the implementation of an additional emergency component, the Resilient Power Initiative, has begun, which provides for the supply of equipment for building a distributed generation system worth 25 million euros.
As part of the initiative, Ukrainian communities will receive: 33 cogeneration units, 17 block-module boiler houses, and 12 mobile modular boiler houses on chassis. This assistance is extremely important, especially for frontline communities that are constantly under attack from the aggressor country.
“Russia attacks Ukraine's critical infrastructure daily, trying to disrupt the heating season. The solutions proposed within this project are especially important for frontline communities where the intensity of attacks from the aggressor country is higher. Thanks to this equipment, we can strengthen reserve capacities and support people when they need it most. GIZ's support is extremely valuable as it really helps strengthen the resilience of these areas and support the people living there,”
said Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba.
