Cooperation Memorandum Signed

According to Міністерство соц. політики: The Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine and the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This agreement is designed to provide support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), with a focus on jointly establishing and equipping temporary housing facilities for those forced to flee their homes.

Key Areas of Collaboration

Under the terms of the Memorandum, the parties have also agreed to strengthen social support for IDPs. Their planned cooperation includes:

  • Assessing sanatoriums, boarding houses, and resorts for potential use as temporary accommodation;
  • Attracting international technical aid, charitable resources, and humanitarian assistance.

The collaboration will also involve coordinating with government authorities on the creation and operation of temporary living spaces. Furthermore, programs for the social adaptation and integration of displaced persons into their new communities will be developed. This initiative addresses a critical need, as millions of Ukrainians have been displaced since the onset of the full-scale invasion, placing immense strain on housing and social services.

This Memorandum represents a significant step in tackling the challenges faced by IDPs in Ukraine, who confront numerous hardships due to the ongoing conflict and economic instability. By combining the efforts of state institutions and trade unions, access to essential resources and support for displaced persons can be substantially improved, thereby fostering their faster adaptation and integration into new living conditions.
