The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the California Department of Education over allowing transgender athletes to compete in school competitions in the state. This was reported by 'Glavcom' citing USA Today.The lawsuit was filed on July 9 in a federal court in Los Angeles. The complaint claims that California's policy 'deprives girls of equal athletic opportunities by forcing them to compete with boys'.In May, US President Donald Trump threatened to cut federal funding to the state if it continued its policy of allowing transgender athletes.The Club World Cup 2025 has already started in the US and promises heated matches. In the semifinals, PSG and 'Chelsea' won with outstanding scores. The final of the tournament will take place on Sunday, July 13, in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
