Ukraine has made changes to the US peace plan by excluding the clause on international verification of the aid received. The initial version of the document provided for an audit of external assistance to Ukraine, but now a provision for full amnesty for actions taken during the war is proposed. This decision is an important step in the negotiations for a peaceful settlement.

Caroline Levitt, a representative of the US, noted that most points of the peace plan received preliminary approval from the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov. However, Rustem Umerov, in his public statement, refuted this information, emphasizing that he had not given any assessments or approvals regarding any points.

"This is not within my authority and is not true," he stated.

Prospects for Peace Settlement

Moreover, Umerov noted that Ukraine has not taken on any obligations regarding participation in the European peace initiative. The US peace plan contains 28 points that entail military, territorial, and political concessions from Ukraine.

"It is important for us to study all proposals from our partners, expecting the same respectful attitude towards the Ukrainian position," he added.

These changes in the peace plan could significantly impact the ongoing negotiations between Ukraine and the US, as well as Ukraine's international support amid the war.
