IMF: Ukrainian customs has completed 40% of reform measures
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Department of Budget Affairs reported that the Ukrainian customs has already completed 40% of the planned measures of the National Revenue Strategy. The Ministry of Finance and the State Customs Service of Ukraine have declared their commitment to reforms. The finalization of the new Customs Code project is planned, as well as the implementation of IT solutions based on European standards.
IMF Department Mission
The mission of the IMF Department of Budget Affairs took place in early November in Vienna. During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of customs components of the National Revenue Strategy until 2030 were discussed. Special attention was paid to the rotation of officials, improvement of personnel policy, and the development of the internal audit system.
Ukraine continues to implement reforms aimed at increasing the efficiency of customs and greater transparency in the customs control area. The introduction of a new Customs Code and the use of modern IT solutions in accordance with European standards are planned.
