IMF to Provide Ukraine with $8.1 Billion: What the New Program Entails

It has just become known that the IMF Mission and the Ukrainian authorities have agreed on a new four-year program under the Extended Fund Facility, which includes the possibility of receiving funding amounting to $8.1 billion. The agreement may be approved by the IMF Board of Directors after meeting certain conditions and securing necessary guarantees from international partners. This program is expected to become an important catalyst for external financial support for Ukraine.

The chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshny, expressed gratitude to the IMF team for understanding the difficult situation in Ukraine and for their flexibility in decision-making. He is confident that through joint efforts, the necessary financial support for the country will be created.
