Moscow region was attacked by drones

According to glavcom.ua: On the night of July 18, explosions occurred in the Moscow region due to a drone attack. Witnesses heard three to four explosions near Domodedovo and also saw bright flashes. Later, explosions were heard in the Istra and Zvenigorod areas.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that the air defense system shot down several drones heading towards the capital. Currently, there is no information about casualties or damage as a result of these events.

The 'Carpet' plan has been introduced at Moscow airports

Due to the air threat, the 'Carpet' plan has been introduced at Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Vnukovo airports. In Domodedovo and Zhukovsky, the restrictions were short-term, from 23:13 to 23:24. However, at Vnukovo airport, this measure led to delays: eight flights for departure and 20 for arrival were rescheduled, and one more flight was canceled.

It is noted that on the night of July 17, explosions also occurred in the Moscow region, causing panic among residents.

The events that took place in the Moscow region indicate a rise in the use of drones in military attacks. This raises questions about ensuring safety and protection against such threats and may influence the adoption of new laws or regulations regarding the use of drones for civilian and military purposes.
