Міністерство внутрішніх справ України вдосконалює процедуру: тепер отримати ID-картку та паспорт можливо за одну візит.

Simplified Process for ID Cards and Passports

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has introduced a simplified procedure for obtaining national ID cards and international passports. Citizens can now apply for or exchange both documents in just one visit to a 'Document' service center. This change is designed to save considerable time for those needing to process both documents at once, a common requirement for international travel.

This service is available not only to first-time applicants but also to those replacing lost or stolen documents. Furthermore, individuals can submit applications for themselves and simultaneously for their children under 14 years old. It is important to note that a maximum of four children's applications can be processed per visit.

Service Availability

The new combined service is accessible at any 'Passport Service' office, both within Ukraine and at its diplomatic missions abroad. However, applicants should be aware that processing documents through offices located outside Ukraine may take up to three months.

"Apply for your ID card and international passport simultaneously," advises the press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs.

These reforms aim to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for Ukrainian citizens and improve access to essential identification documents. This initiative is part of a broader government effort to modernize public services and make them more user-friendly. By consolidating procedures, officials hope to shorten wait times and manage the high demand for documents, particularly from those planning travel or relocation abroad.
