Ukraine's Interior Ministry and NGO 'GuSoMe-Ukraine' Sign Deal to Expand Medical Training
Partnership Memorandum Signed
According to МВС: The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has formalized its partnership with the non-governmental organization 'GuSoMe-Ukraine' by signing a memorandum of cooperation. This collaboration, which has been active for four years, has already enabled the NGO to train over 9,000 medical personnel and more than 500 military surgeons since 2022.
Comprehensive Damage-Control Program
A core component of 'GuSoMe-Ukraine's' work is its damage-control program, which provides support from the moment of injury through to reintegration into civilian life. This comprehensive approach includes:
- Physical rehabilitation
- Psychological rehabilitation
These elements are vital for the recovery of service members. State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Inna Yashchuk, emphasized the progress and ongoing commitment, stating:
“Significant results have already been achieved on this path, and we have much to work on, as both sides highly value the lives and rehabilitation of our military personnel.” - Inna Yashchuk
This partnership underscores the critical importance of training and supporting medical staff, a necessity that has become even more pronounced during the ongoing conflict. The signing of this memorandum highlights the increasing focus on medical training and the rehabilitation of soldiers, which is essential for improving frontline care and long-term recovery. The education of healthcare workers and surgeons is key to enhancing the quality of aid provided to the wounded and facilitating their successful return to civilian society.
