Bringing Government Services to Ukrainians in Need

According to Главком: Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has carried out 277 deployments to dangerous and hard-to-reach regions. These operations aim to ensure citizens can still access public services, especially given the challenging situation in the country. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko emphasized that mobile units from the State Migration Service and Ministry service centers continue to operate, particularly in frontline and border communities.

Over this period, State Migration Service (SMS) personnel have processed and issued more than 1,800 documents, including ID cards and international passports. Additionally, they provided over 370 specialized consultations, highlighting their active efforts in a context where many citizens cannot reach government offices on their own due to shelling or difficult life circumstances.

Services from Mobile Service Centers

Administrators from the Ministry’s mobile service centers have also delivered over 3,000 services, covering a wide range of administrative procedures. Regarding the deportation of Ukrainians, the Ministry stated that forced return of Ukrainian men from Germany and other EU countries is only possible through a decision by the competent authorities of those states. This process is governed by international agreements, notably the Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the Readmission of Persons.

These efforts by the Ministry of Internal Affairs underscore the importance of maintaining access to public services, especially amid military operations and humanitarian crises. By deploying mobile units, the state can stay connected with citizens facing hardship and meet their essential needs. This also reflects Ukraine’s commitment to upholding citizens’ rights, even under the most difficult conditions.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues its vital operations, the role of mobile migration units becomes increasingly significant. These teams have been actively issuing essential documents to citizens in frontline regions, ensuring that even amid conflict, individuals retain access to necessary identification.
