Four Police Officers Killed in Cherkasy Region During Murder Suspect Apprehension
Deadly Incident in Cherkasy
According to МВС: Four police officers were killed and one was wounded while attempting to apprehend a murder suspect in the Cherkasy region. The assailant opened targeted fire on the officers. During the subsequent special operation, the suspect was neutralized.

- Serhiy Safronov, Platoon Commander of the 1st Platoon, Special Purpose Police Company, Police Major, combat veteran;
- Oleksandr Florinskyi, Deputy Commander of the Special Purpose Police Company, Police Major, combat veteran;
- Denys Polovynka, Inspector of the 1st Platoon, Special Purpose Police Company, Senior Police Lieutenant;
- Volodymyr Boiko, Community Police Officer, Police Major, combat veteran.
The wounded officer is Oleksandr Shpak, a Community Police Officer and Senior Police Lieutenant. This tragedy underscores the grave dangers law enforcement personnel face in the line of duty. Such violent confrontations highlight the ongoing challenges for police forces across Ukraine.
