In Kharkiv region, a morgue employee caught stealing the belongings of fallen soldiers

According to glavcom.ua: In the Kharkiv region, a morgue employee was caught stealing personal belongings of deceased Ukrainian soldiers. His colleague, a junior nurse, was previously exposed for similar actions. This information became known thanks to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

In August 2025, law enforcement discovered that the junior nurse regularly stole military items from the fallen. The case has already been sent to court, but it is still ongoing.

It has now been revealed that another colleague of the morgue employee was also involved in the thefts of Ukrainian soldiers' belongings. A junior medical brother from Chuguyev appropriated mobile phones of the deceased. During a search, stolen gadgets were seized from him.

The suspect has been charged with theft under martial law. The prosecutor's office demands detention, and the investigation continues to determine whether there were other cases of similar thefts.
