American Bruce joined the operation in the Serebryansky Forest

A true hero named Bruce from the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade became popular online due to his Ukrainian language skills and polite behavior. According to the publication 'Glavcom', in a video released by the brigade, Bruce and his comrades are clearing the Serebryansky Forest, holding four occupiers captive.

"On your knees, please," Bruce said to the Russian.

After this, the American offered the Russian soldiers cigarettes and a wish: "Enjoy your meal!" When the occupiers tried to talk to Bruce, he explained: "I am an American and I do not understand Russian very well."

Impressions of the Ukrainian defender

The video on the brigade's Facebook page gathered almost 300 comments. Ukrainians express their gratitude to Bruce and his comrades for their protection, as well as for their humanity and good Ukrainian language skills.

"I am amazed by the language and behavior. What is worth that 'please'. It's good that ours took them captive, for if it were the other way around – the scene would have been harsher. God, protect our defenders. I pray, I implore, I ask," wrote Ruslana Volovenko.

Features of foreign fighters' service in Ukraine

The head of the Second International Legion, Oleksandr Yakymovych, spoke about the peculiarities of the service of foreign military in Ukraine and the reasons why some of them cannot withstand the intensity of combat. He emphasized that the main difference is that a foreigner can terminate their contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine after six months of service.

In the Ground Forces, there are four international battalions, one of which, the Fourth, is a training center where foreigners receive basic military training for 45 days, which is similar to the training of Ukrainian soldiers. After that, they continue their service in their battalion.

Bruce from America joined the operation in the Serebryansky Forest alongside Ukrainian defenders, showing a high level of attentiveness and politeness in communicating with the captured occupiers. He also became the subject of public gratitude from Ukrainian social media users for his courage and demonstration of tolerance. Bruce's actions highlight the importance of international support and cooperation in the fight against the occupation in eastern Ukraine.
