At the conference in Rome, steel shelters were presented to protect Ukrainian schoolchildren from shelling
At the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) 2025 in Rome, the 'Citadel' project was presented - underground shelters to protect children of Ukrainian schools in case of air alerts. These steel modules, consisting of two units, are equipped with everything necessary for sheltering during danger.Due to their cylindrical shape, the shelters are installed in the ground to a depth of up to 5 meters next to school buildings or in yards. Each module of the project is designed for 48 people, and they can be combined into complex configurations. The flexibility of the design allows the 'Citadel' to be used not only on school grounds, but also in hospitals, factories, or residential areas, as well as in combat zones. The modularity and versatility of the 'Citadel' allow for quick adaptation to various conditions, and the installation is completed in a matter of days. This is a reliable temporary or permanent solution to ensure safety in dangerous conditions.
