Implementation of the National Military Memorial Cemetery Project in Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with officials, representatives of the Kyiv regional military administration, the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, and representatives of veteran and public organizations. He announced the readiness to open 6 thousand burial places in the near future. In addition, the construction of the second launch complex continues.
"Together with government representatives, the Kyiv regional administration, the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, veteran and public organizations, historians, and families of the fallen, we have coordinated our next steps," noted the Prime Minister.
Shmyhal emphasized that honoring the defenders of Ukraine is a priority of state veteran policy. He called for the National Military Memorial Cemetery to become a place of tribute and gratitude to those who gave their lives for the country.
Plans for the Future
In 2025, the first burials are planned to begin at the National Military Memorial Cemetery in the village of Hatne, Fastiv district of Kyiv region. The project is being executed in accordance with the legislation, as confirmed by Minister Natalia Kalmykova.
Prior to this, the Heroes of Ukraine were honored during military funerals. Currently, work is underway on the construction of the launch complex, which is important for implementing the large project of honoring fallen soldiers.
