According to Главком: An attack on patrol officers unfolded on July 5 in the Podilsk district of Odesa Oblast, involving a man driving a moped who was later identified as being in AWOL (absent without leave) status. The police response team had initially stopped the moped rider for a traffic violation. During a routine document check, law enforcement discovered that the 52-year-old suspect was classified as a specially restricted person (SZCh).

As officers interacted with him, the man pulled out a grenade and threatened to use it. Witnesses reported that

"an explosion rang out moments later."

The blast injured two police officers as well as the perpetrator himself. A forensic investigative team is currently at the scene, working to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

In Kharkiv, during mobilization notification procedures, an attack on military personnel from the Regional Territorial Recruitment Centers and Social Support (RTCC and SP) resulted in one soldier dead and another wounded.

These incidents highlight a worsening trend of violence and crime across the country.

The rise in aggressive acts against police and military personnel is raising alarm among both the public and state agencies.
