Traffic to the border crossing points with Moldova restricted due to Russian attack in Odesa region

Following the Russian attack on August 9, traffic was temporarily restricted on a section of the Odesa-Reni highway. This led to difficulties in accessing the border crossing points on the Moldovan border and towards Odesa. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.

Traffic to the border with Moldova partially resumed

As of 11:29, traffic was partially restored in Odesa region. Prior to this, movement along the Odesa-Reni highway was restricted due to the consequences of the Russian strike.

Border guards urged drivers to consider the situation when planning trips. Information about the full restoration of traffic will be published later.

The Palanka crossing point was operating with restrictions

The Customs Service of Moldova reported that the crossing point «Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne» was temporarily accepting vehicles only for entry into Moldova.

For departing from Moldova to Ukraine, it was recommended to use the crossing point «Tudora-Starokozache» at that time. It serves as an alternative to the joint checkpoint «Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne», as previously confirmed by the Customs Service of Moldova.

The restrictions were imposed after a combined Russian attack on Odesa on the night of August 9. The city reported damage to infrastructure and residential buildings, as well as disruptions to electricity and water supply.

Let us remind that pensioners under 60 years old are prohibited from leaving Ukraine due to military service status.
