23 Assaults in a Single Day on the Pokrovsk Front: General Staff Reports 210 Combat Engagements

According to Главком: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 210 combat clashes across the front on July 1, 2023, underscoring the continuation of intense hostilities. This update comes on the 1,589th day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. The most critical situation unfolded on the Pokrovsk axis, where Ukrainian forces eliminated 22 occupiers and wounded 21 enemy personnel.
Since the start of the day, Russian troops launched two missile strikes using two missiles. Additionally, they carried out 53 airstrikes involving 158 guided aerial bombs. The adversary deployed 6,667 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,150 artillery bombardments targeting Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
Combat Activity Across Various Fronts
- On the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, the enemy executed 41 shelling attacks, six of which utilized multiple launch rocket systems.
- The South-Slobozhansk axis also saw fierce fighting, with the enemy storming Ukrainian positions 13 times.
- On the Lyman front, six attempted advances were repelled, with one engagement still ongoing.
- The situation on the Sloviansk axis mirrored this: 22 enemy pushes were halted, and one clash continues.
- On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy launched three attacks, while on the Kostiantynivka front, 17 assaults were beaten back.
- The Pokrovsk axis recorded 23 attacks from the opposing side.
Furthermore, on the Oleksandrivsk axis, the enemy assaulted Ukrainian positions four times. On the Huliaipole front, 16 enemy attacks were repelled, with one associated combat engagement. On the Orikhiv axis, one enemy attempt to advance was successfully stopped.
Over the course of the day on the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian forces destroyed an ammunition depot, a fuel storage facility, four enemy vehicles, and three units of specialized equipment. Additionally, four vehicles, two pieces of specialized equipment, one armored combat vehicle, and a drone control post were damaged. A total of 286 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were either destroyed or suppressed.
