According to Главком: A shooting occurred on Symyrenka Street in Kyiv, injuring a 36-year-old local man. The incident stemmed from a long-standing personal conflict between two men. The 39-year-old suspect, a native of a Middle Eastern country, had invited the victim outside for a conversation. During this talk, he fired at least seven shots from a non-lethal traumatic pistol. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his shins and thigh, as well as a broken arm.

Authorities detained the suspect under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code and confiscated the weapon used in the attack.
