In the Hrymayliv community in Ternopil region, a new tourist route has been presented, combining unique natural and historical locations of the region. It opens up little-known caves, peaks, sacred architecture, and protected areas that could become a new magnet for travelers. Visit Ukraine writes about this.

The route covers ten locations - from natural objects to spiritual shrines, creating a convenient format for those who want to uncover the authenticity of Ternopil region. The central point is the Medobory reserve - a territory of over 9.5 thousand hectares where unique landscapes of the Podilskyi Tovtry, fossil remains of sea organisms, and over 1100 plant species, some of which are listed in the Red Book, have been preserved.

Key natural stops of the new route

The route program includes two main locations of the reserve:

  • Mount Hostra - known for its panoramic views

  • Krytyliv settlement - with the trail “To the hermit’s retreat”, the “Hermit” and “Pearl” caves, as well as the “Zvenyhorod” sanctuary settlement.

Here, natural forms, historical traces, and legends preserved in local caves come together.

Historical landmarks and cultural locations of the community

The route includes sacred monuments from different eras: the wooden church of St. Paraskeva in Kozyn, the Mykolayiv church in Zeleny, the Kozebrida chapel-tomb in Hlibiv, and the Jewish synagogue in Hrymayliv. A separate stop is the Hrymayliv Park, created in the late 19th - early 20th century around the local palace.

Ternopil region is traditionally associated with fortresses and castles; however, the region is actively developing new tourist directions. The Visit Ukraine platform systematically highlights the most interesting routes and helps travelers plan their trips across the country.

Previously, we wrote about the Probiy waterfall in Yaremche. It is located near various recreation areas: there is a fair, a park, and a small recreation zone nearby.
