Paratrooper 'Gorokh' Dies in Combat After 10 Months Listed as Missing
Soldier Pavlo Dutkevych Killed in Action
According to Главком: Pavlo Dutkevych, a soldier operating under the call sign 'Gorokh,' was killed on January 6, 2025, in the village of Ruske Porichne, located in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. He died after being struck by an enemy FPV drone. He was 29 years old at the time of his death. Born on July 13, 1995, in the village of Serhiivka, Volyn region, Pavlo later resided in the village of Horinchovo in Zakarpattia. He served as a gunner in the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade and also worked at the Kyiv Thermal Power Plant (Kyiv TEC).
For ten months, Pavlo was considered missing in action. His death has been a devastating blow to his family. He is survived by his mother and two sisters. His father, Petro Dutkevych, passed away on September 6, 2016, due to an illness linked to his military service. Pavlo was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage, Third Degree, and was laid to rest in the village of Horinchovo.
