Mother beat 9-year-old daughter with a stick: prosecutor sent the case to court

According to glavcom.ua: The prosecutor's office in Vinnytsia region detained a woman who brutally tortured her own daughter. According to the investigation, for three months in 2024, she periodically subjected the child to physical and psychological abuse, inflicting injuries and causing fear and suffering.

«The most brutal cases of violence were recorded on December 4 and 7, when the mother beat the child for not completing homework, causing numerous bodily injuries and psychological trauma,» the statement says.

The victimized child was rescued and is now under guardianship. The actions of the accused are classified under the article on torture, for which she may be arrested for up to six years.

Outside of Vinnytsia, cases of violence against children are also not uncommon, especially in Kryvyi Rih and Kyiv. This requires additional attention and action from the public and law enforcement to protect the most defenseless members of our society.
