A mobile application for tracking minibuses will appear in Volyn

In the near future, a mobile application to track the movement of minibuses online is planned to be launched in the Volyn region. The development is already in the final stage and is undergoing testing. This is reported by Konkurent.

Application for minibuses in Volyn: how the system will work

The project involves the implementation of GPS tracking of intraregional transport movement. Thanks to this, passengers will be able to see where the bus is located and when it will arrive at the stop.

As explained by the acting head of the Volyn Regional State Administration Roman Romanyuk, a similar system is already operational in Lutsk and has shown its effectiveness, so it is being scaled up to the entire region.

The main features of the future service:

• real-time transport tracking

• estimated arrival time at the stop

• convenient navigation for passengers.

GPS transport tracking: when the service will be launched

The application is being created in cooperation with the region's transport providers. The software product has already been developed but is currently undergoing testing before its full launch.

Exact implementation timelines are not yet announced. According to Romanyuk, they will be communicated after the new head of the regional transport authority is fully briefed on the matters.

Similar digital solutions are gradually being implemented in various regions of Ukraine. They allow for public transport to become more predictable and convenient for passengers.

Recall that on April 1st Russian forces attacked Lutsk in Volyn, resulting in damage to the New Post warehouse and a food storage facility of the trading network.
