According to glavcom.ua: A terrible accident occurred today in Transcarpathia. A woman driving a BMW X5 lost control and crashed into a police checkpoint. One man died, and another was hospitalized but later died from his injuries.
“The female driver showed signs of alcohol intoxication, but she refused to undergo an alcohol test. The police detained her, and she is now under guard in the hospital. Her passenger was also hospitalized.”
The police are investigating this tragedy and have already opened a criminal case. The driver may face up to 10 years in prison for violating traffic safety laws while intoxicated. Such accidents highlight the need for increased road control.
The events in Transcarpathia are extremely serious and underscore the importance of adhering to traffic rules and responsible behavior in operating vehicles.
