Diesel Train Engine Catches Fire in Zakarpattia, Passengers Evacuated
Railway Blaze in Solotvyno
According to Главком: A fire broke out in the engine of a suburban diesel train operating on the Solotvyno–Korolevo route on June 27 in the village of Solotvyno, Tiachiv District, Zakarpattia Oblast. The alarm was raised in the afternoon, prompting firefighters from Tiachiv, Velykyi Bychkiv, and the Solotvyno Civil Security Center to respond.
Firefighters contained the flames by 12:32 p.m. across an area of 25 square meters, fully extinguishing the fire by 1:12 p.m. Prior to the arrival of emergency crews, the train drivers evacuated four passengers who were on board. No injuries were reported, and the incident did not disrupt train schedules.

- On May 29, a 15-year-old boy near a railway station in the Stanyshivka community suffered an electric shock and fell from a height, leaving him hospitalized.
