According to Рубрика — Суспільство: A stretch of the M-06 Kyiv–Chop highway near the village of Hlyboke (km 799) has been fully repaired in Zakarpattia. The renewed area covers roughly 9,000 square meters. Crews used large-scale paving sections and specialized engineering methods to rebuild the drainage system and replace the road surface.

Since the start of 2026, more than 407,500 square meters of pavement have been restored on state highways in Zakarpattia. Across Ukraine, the total for the same period reaches 18.3 million square meters. The Kyiv–Chop road is one of Ukraine's principal international routes, which underscores the significance of the completed works.

Current State of Road Infrastructure

Active repair campaigns have ended in all regions, while emergency crews continue fixing individual damage and deformations on roads of national importance. The Rubryka publication reported the completion of this segment, citing Ukraine's Ministry of Restoration of Infrastructure and Transport; the report appeared on August 19, 2026. The completion of the M-06 repair works highlights the state's broader push to improve infrastructure crucial to international freight. Restoring the pavement also helps boost traffic safety and lower crash risks on a heavily used corridor. Given its role as a key international corridor, the repaired stretch is especially significant for freight and passenger flows.
