According to НАБУ: Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have sent to court the case of a deputy from a municipal council in the Lviv region. The official is accused of knowingly giving false testimony to NABU detectives and filing inaccurate information in official asset declarations. The pre-trial investigation was conducted as part of a criminal proceeding concerning illicit enrichment by a high-ranking official, whose case is currently being heard in the High Anti-Corruption Court.

Investigators say the deputy provided false statements regarding a loan agreement and fabricated evidence for the defense. Additionally, he submitted incorrect data in his declarations for 2024 and 2025. Other alleged violations include:

• using a forged contract;
• filing a lawsuit to recover a non-existent debt.
