Call for Unity Amid Internal Challenges

According to glavcom.ua: Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov addressed the Ukrainian society with an important message about the necessity of national unity in the face of internal challenges. This became known after President Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law No. 12214, which limits the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

“Ukrainian history has taught us – a nation loses if its internal contradictions tear it apart. We have one common misfortune, one enemy. Therefore, we should resolve internal contradictions through open dialogue to achieve a unified common goal – to defend our country. I am confident that a strong military and institutions will save Ukraine. We must demonstrate wisdom and responsibility,” wrote Budanov.

It is noteworthy that earlier the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 12414, which also implies limiting the powers of NABU and SAP. 263 members of parliament voted for this bill, most of whom belonged to the Servant of the People faction.

The intelligence chief's message highlights the importance of national unity amid internal challenges, emphasizing the need for a common goal to defend the country. It is underscored that the decision to limit the powers of anti-corruption institutions was supported by deputies, which may influence the further development of the situation in Ukraine.
