Panama Tops the List of Best Countries for Expats for the Second Time: Who Else is in the Top 10
According to glavcom.ua: Panama has topped the list of best countries for foreign workers (expats) for the second consecutive time, according to the largest online community InterNations, reports Glavcom.
In a large-scale study involving over 10,000 citizens from 172 countries, Panama received the highest ratings. Respondents highlighted the following advantages:
- Ease of Integration: the absence of language barriers and the friendliness of locals.
- Working Conditions: a short working day (an average of 41 hours a week).
- Quality of Life and Finances: affordable housing, a high level of safety, and healthcare.
- Other: pleasant climate, natural beauty, and leisure opportunities.
The final ranking for 2025 includes 46 countries. The assessment was conducted based on five criteria, including quality of life, ease of integration, working conditions, family life, and personal finances.
The top ten best countries include: Panama, Colombia, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam, China, UAE, Indonesia, Spain, and Malaysia.
The least attractive countries for foreign workers were found to be South Korea, Turkey, and Kuwait.
In 2026, tourists should expect an increase in expenses for recreation. According to experts from the travel portal Fodor's, the rise in prices will be caused by a number of factors, including geopolitical tensions and increased tax pressure on tourism flows.
Panama remains a leader in the ranking of the best countries for foreign workers, excelling in metrics such as ease of integration, working conditions, quality of life, and others. This provides its residents with excellent prospects for living and working, as confirmed by the results of the InterNations study. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that in 2026, tourists may face rising costs for recreation due to a number of reasons, including the geopolitical situation and tax pressure.
