81-year-old man from Kropyvnytskyi grew a lilac Christmas tree: how a bush bloomed in the winter
According to glavcom.ua: A unique atmosphere was created in the apartment of Kropyvnytskyi resident Volodymyr Levy during the winter holidays. The man decided to decorate a lilac bush that bloomed during the cold season. The year before last, he enjoyed the blooming of a cherry tree in his apartment during Christmas.
The event was described by the 'Public' TV channel. The 81-year-old Kropyvnytskyi resident dug up the lilac bush one and a half months ago and brought it home, creating a special greenhouse for the plant. Although lilacs typically bloom in April-May in nature, it bloomed much earlier under indoor conditions.
'This is my first time doing it. It's very difficult,' admits the pensioner.
Volodymyr Levy, a technician by profession, stated that growing flowers has become his hobby. In the past, he worked in a green economy trust, where he was enchanted by the beauty of plants.
Planning to plant lilacs next to his house, Volodymyr is pleased with his unusual achievement: 'This gives me energy and strength. A beautiful lilac Christmas tree has come out.'
