MP Zheleznyak spoke about how he replaced the work of dozens of analysts with artificial intelligence

Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that his team actively uses artificial intelligence for analysis of draft laws, court decisions, tax data, and anti-corruption risks. According to him, specific tasks that previously took days of work for several analysts are now completed in minutes. 

For his work, Zheleznyak uses, in particular, Claude and ChatGPT. Over the last month and a half, according to the MP, his team's meetings start with searching for processes that can still be automated using AI.

AI analyzes draft laws and searches for anti-corruption risks

One of the key developments is a system for monitoring anti-corruption risks. It analyzes draft laws, explanatory notes, comparative tables, government agendas, parliamentary committee decisions, expert conclusions, and parliamentary amendments.

If the system finds a potential risk, it automatically sends a message to a closed chat, where, according to Zheleznyak, there are 17 specialists from various anti-corruption fields.

«It doesn’t replace a person, but almost everyone has tracked these risks significantly faster than a human in recent times. Previously, about ten people handled this. Now it is done by a program that lives on my computer,» said the MP.

According to him, he assembled the system in about three days based on Claude. More time was needed for communication with experts and defining the algorithm for risk detection.

Separate tools monitor the decisions of the High Anti-Corruption Court and the streams of meetings. One of the systems with a delay of about 30 seconds translates the speeches of meeting participants into text and sends them to the chat. This allows obtaining information without constantly watching the stream.

Tax data analysis reduced from a week to 10 minutes

Another AI tool that Zheleznyak's team uses for working with tax data. The system matches information arrays, searches for connections between companies and employees, and helps identify potentially suspicious operations.

«What previously required me four analysts and about a week, this program will do in 10 minutes,» Zheleznyak stated.

According to him, this tool is planned to be used in the work of the temporary investigative commission. The MP emphasized that the results of AI do not replace further verification by humans.

A similar principle is used in investigations. The team created a system that only needs a person's name to gather information from various databases and internal materials and search for possible connections. After that, the data is further processed by analysts.

What other tasks Zheleznyak assigned to artificial intelligence

According to the MP, AI also analyzes parliament transcripts and draft laws, monitors the signing of laws by the president, checks his Telegram posts for errors, and analyzes anonymous Telegram channels.

An separate system studies the work of a YouTube channel: it collects viewer comments, analyzes reactions to videos, checks texts for possible legal risks, and formulates recommendations.

AI is also used by Zheleznyak for media work. Every week, the system selects interesting materials from The Economist, prepares short summaries in Ukrainian, and converts them to audio.

According to the MP's estimate, the video shows about 30% of the AI projects that his team is already using. At the same time, Zheleznyak emphasized that automation speeds up the search and preliminary analysis of information, but the final check and investigation remain in human hands.
