Electric Transport Suspended in Kyiv

According to Главком: Electric public transport services in Kyiv have been temporarily suspended due to damage from a Russian missile and drone attack on the night of March 14. The suspension was caused by power outages affecting sections of the overhead contact network. The disruption impacts the Holosiivskyi Prospekt, Lybidska and Demiivska squares, Teremky, Pechersk districts, and the area near Trolleybus Depot No. 1.

The large-scale combined assault on Kyiv and the surrounding region by occupying forces affected several districts. The most severe consequences were recorded in the Brovary district of Kyiv Oblast, where three people were killed and four others were wounded. The attack damaged residential buildings and infrastructure, including a dormitory building, industrial facilities, and warehouses.

Temporary Bus Routes Established

To support passengers and maintain transport links, temporary bus routes have been launched. These include:

  • №45ТR – 'Vystavkovyi Tsentr' metro station – 'Vasylkivska' metro station;
  • №38ТR – 'Vydubychi' metro station – Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II;
  • №43К – Kibcenter – Lybidska Square.

Additionally, trolleybus routes №№ 22К, 27, 30, 42 and tram routes №№ 14, 15 are experiencing delays on Dehtiariwska, Oleksandra Dovzhenka, and Oleny Telihy streets.

This is another episode in the escalating conflict, which continues to have severe consequences for civilians and infrastructure. Kyiv authorities are taking measures to ensure passenger safety and convenience, but the situation remains tense.

Further attacks could lead to new transport restrictions and an increase in casualties, underscoring the critical nature of the situation in the region. These disruptions are part of a wider pattern of Russian strikes targeting Ukrainian energy and civilian infrastructure.
