2026 National Multi-Subject Test Pricing Announced

According to Главком: Tetiana Vakulenko, Director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA), has disclosed the cost of administering the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) in 2026. According to her statement, the expense per test-taker will be 1,070 hryvnias. This fee covers several aspects of test organization, including:

  • development of test items,
  • review of test items,
  • compensation for instructors and personnel working at temporary examination centers.

Criticism of Test Difficulty

Vakulenko also addressed complaints from participants who describe the test tasks as overly challenging. She noted that such criticism has become a recurring pattern, surfacing during every examination cycle. The NMT is the successor to the External Independent Evaluation (EIE), which was fully implemented starting in 2008, and was also developed and introduced by UCEQA.

In summary, the 2026 NMT cost of 1,070 hryvnias per participant encompasses all necessary expenses for organizing and conducting the assessment. This underscores the importance of high-quality preparation and execution of student knowledge evaluation in Ukraine. Given that the NMT is a key component of the education system, its pricing and logistical issues remain relevant for students, parents, and educators, highlighting the ongoing need to refine the knowledge assessment process.

As the cost of the 2026 National Multi-Subject Test has been established, it's essential to consider the implications this may have on students' preparation strategies. Many applicants are already expressing concerns about the test's complexity, which could transform the assessment into a true test of endurance for those looking to enter higher education. Understanding these challenges will be crucial for effective study planning.
