Netanyahu's Request to Zelenskyy

According to ХВИЛЯ: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The primary topic would be strategies for countering Iranian-made drones, as Israel is keen to learn from Ukraine's military experience in intercepting them. Ukraine's Ambassador to Israel, Yevgen Korniychuk, confirmed the request, stating:

“Due to scheduling constraints, the conversation has not yet taken place, but I hope it will happen at the beginning of the week.” - Yevgen Korniychuk

Iranian Threats Escalate Tensions

This diplomatic outreach comes amid heightened regional tensions. Concurrently, the head of Iran's parliamentary national security committee, Ibrahim Azizi, has issued threats of military strikes against Ukraine over its potential cooperation with Israel. He asserted:

“By providing drone support to the Israeli regime, the unfortunate Ukraine has effectively become involved in the war and, according to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, has turned all its territory into a legitimate target for Iran.” - Ibrahim Azizi

These threats were published on Azizi's page on the social network X, underscoring the volatility of the situation. The exchange highlights how regional conflicts are increasingly interconnected on the global stage.

The situation underscores the growing international tension surrounding Iranian drones, which are now deployed in conflicts across multiple regions. Cooperation between Ukraine and Israel could significantly enhance Ukraine's defensive capabilities against these weapons. However, it also carries the risk of escalating conflict with Iran, making the upcoming talks between Kyiv and Tel Aviv potentially crucial for both nations' security and regional stability.
