The National Bank will investigate the impact of investments in startups on the environmental performance of companies
According to НБУ: At the next open research seminar of the National Bank of Ukraine, the possible impact of investments in environmental startups on sustainable development indicators will be discussed. The event will take place on December 19 from 16:00 to 17:00. The guest of the event will be Valeriya Tishakova from Maastricht University. As part of the event, she will present the results of a new study on the topic 'Corporate Venture Capital Investments in Green Technologies: Impact on ESG Indicators' for the period from 2007 to 2021.
Analysis of Research Results
During the study, data from various companies were analyzed to establish the link between the activities of corporate venture companies, 'green' patenting, and the environmental performance of these companies. The results of the study confirmed that investments by corporate companies in green startups improve their environmental performance and this impact is measurable.
'Investments in green technologies are not only a strategic step towards sustainable development, but can also positively affect the environmental performance of companies,' - Valeriya Tishakova.
