Explosions rocked the Odesa region, with residents reporting a strike on the city of Chornomorsk during an air raid alert. In Kharkiv, Russian drones targeted the Shevchenkivskyi district, with impacts recorded near an educational facility. The attack shattered windows in a Kharkiv building, though no casualties were immediately reported. Separately, a Russian FPV drone killed a woman in the Zaporizhzhia region. These strikes are part of Russia's ongoing campaign of long-range bombardment against Ukrainian cities.

On the international stage, the European Union has pledged a substantial €90 billion financial support package for Ukraine. However, Hungary is currently blocking the loan. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that

“financial support for Ukraine will be provided in any case”

. Concurrently, the European Council held a meeting to address the escalating situation in the Middle East.

In the United States, a federal commission whose members were appointed by Donald Trump endorsed the design for a 24-karat gold commemorative coin for the nation's 250th anniversary. The final decision on minting the coin rests with the U.S. Treasury Department. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is reportedly considering partially lifting sanctions on approximately 140 million barrels of Iranian oil already at sea. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated:

“Iran has lost the ability to enrich uranium and produce missiles”

.
