According to Главком: In the night of March 28, 2026, Odesa was subjected to a massive attack by strike drones of the Russian Federation. According to preliminary data, at least 10 people were injured as a result of the aggression, including a child. Two of the injured are in serious condition. The information about the incident was reported by the Odesa City Military Administration.

Damage to civilian infrastructure

The attack caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure. In the Primorsky district, there was a hit on the roof of the maternity hospital, leading to the evacuation of staff and patients. Additionally, a multi-storey building was damaged, where the ceiling between the fourth and fifth floors was partially destroyed. The shockwave shattered windows in residential buildings in various parts of the Primorsky district, and fires broke out in houses in the private sector.

Also, three educational institutions were damaged in the Primorsky district, including the Academic Vocational College of ONAU. In the Khadzhybei district, there was a hit on a multi-storey building, but there were no casualties. Emergency and utility services are working at the scene, and the aftermath of the attack is being addressed with damage assessment ongoing. An operational headquarters has been set up in Victory Park to assist residents.

This attack is another manifestation of the escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which continues to negatively impact the civilian population and infrastructure.

Given the numerous casualties and destruction, the events in Odesa raise concerns about security in the region and require urgent measures to protect local residents.
