Odesa Targeted in Nighttime Assault

According to Главком: A nighttime attack on Odesa on April 6 resulted in three fatalities, including a child, with ten others wounded. Two individuals were hospitalized in serious condition. The victims include a two-year-old child and two teenagers, aged 17 and 18. This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian cities that have intensified in recent months.

Widespread Damage to Infrastructure

In Odesa's Prymorskyi district, the assault damaged:

• a multi-story residential building
• 7 private houses

In the Kyivskyi district, damage was sustained by:

• one multi-story building
• 5 private houses
• a private preschool facility
• a store
• 27 automobiles

Reports also indicate a five-story building was destroyed and is engulfed in flames.

The condition of the injured is as follows: 2 people are in serious condition, 8 are in moderately serious condition. Serhii Lysak noted that the two seriously injured patients have been hospitalized; one is in neurosurgery and the other in an intensive care burn unit. All victims are receiving necessary medical assistance.

Operational headquarters are working at the incident sites, with all communal services and specialized equipment deployed. Experts are accepting applications from owners of damaged housing for assistance from the city budget and under the 'eRecovery' program.

Simultaneously, on the night of April 6, the Chernihiv region, specifically the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, was also attacked. The shelling in Chernihiv region damaged an energy facility.

This assault on Odesa and Chernihiv region underscores the perilous situation in Ukraine, where civilian infrastructure continues to be targeted.
