Deadly Strikes Hit Chuhuiv and Kharkiv

According to Главком: During the night of May 18–19, Russia launched a series of missile attacks on Chuhuiv and deployed drones against two districts of Kharkiv. The bombardment killed three people in Chuhuiv and left ten injured in Kharkiv.

In Chuhuiv, located in the Kharkiv region, the missile strike claimed the lives of a 70-year-old man and woman, as well as a 56-year-old man. A 34-year-old man in the city experienced an acute stress reaction. The attack sparked fires and damaged civilian vehicles, apartment buildings, and private homes.

“About half an hour ago, the enemy launched a series of missile strikes, including on the central part of Chuhuiv. Fires broke out as a result. Rescue services are currently on site, assessing the extent of the damage.”

Drone Assault on Kharkiv

That same night, Kharkiv was also targeted by drones. Impacts were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts, with approximately ten strikes. One hit struck an apartment building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. As of 02:29, ten people in Kharkiv had been injured, including a 19-year-old man who sustained wounds and a 21-year-old woman who suffered an acute stress reaction.

At least ten vehicles caught fire in Kharkiv, and the roof of a municipal facility was set ablaze during the attack.

These events underscore the escalating violence in the region, where civilians continue to bear the brunt of hostilities. This latest assault adds to a series of intensifying attacks on Ukraine's northeastern border areas.
