Night buses in Kyiv will operate even during curfew hours: where you can go

In Kyiv, from the night of September 10, four temporary bus routes №131Н–134Н have been launched, connecting the Central Railway Station with large residential areas. They will operate even during the curfew from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM. Previously, the curfew in the capital was shortened and the transportation schedule was changed. Which night buses have been launched in Kyiv since September 10

The new routes are primarily designed for train passengers arriving in the capital during curfew hours. Buses will depart from the Central Railway Station to various districts of Kyiv, and in the opposite direction, they will start earlier according to the established schedules.

The estimated interval will be about 60 minutes. Boarding and alighting at the designated stops along the route will be on request of the passengers.

Four routes will operate at night:

1. №131Н: Central Railway Station – Lukyanivka – Pochaivna – Troieshchyna – Lisovyi Massiv – Darnytsia – Pechersk – Central Railway Station.

2. №132Н: Central Railway Station – Sviatoshyn – Academy Town – Valery Marchenko Square – Taras Shevchenko Square – Minska – Postal Square – Central Railway Station.

3. №133Н: Central Railway Station – Sevastopol Square – Demiivska – Huminna Street – Southern Borshchahivka – Toulouse Street – Central Railway Station.

4. №134Н: Central Railway Station – Lybidska – Darnytsia Square – "Darnytsia" Station – Kharkivska – Dniprovska Embankment – Tychyna Avenue – Lybidska – Central Railway Station.

Thus, the night buses will cover a significant part of both the right and left banks. Detailed schedules of KP "Kyivpastrans" will be published separately.

This innovation complements other changes in the capital's transport system. In particular, due to the reduction of night restrictions, the metro will operate longer, and the schedules of the main ground routes are also being extended.

How Kyiv's transport will operate during air alerts

Since September 10, the curfew in the capital lasts from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM. The launch of night buses is a specific decision for the transportation of railway passengers during this period.

The operation of the metro during air threats has also changed. In case of a yellow threat level, trains on the green Syrets-Pechersk line will run through the ground section and the Southern Bridge without restrictions.

In case of a red threat level, the green line will be divided into two parts: "Syrets" – "Vydubychi" and "Slavutych" – "Red Khutor". On the red line, passenger transportation in such a situation will be carried out underground between "Academytown" and "Arsenalna".

The city is also strengthening ground connections between the banks. At the beginning of September, Kyiv added 140 buses to the routes that are supposed to partially compensate for metro restrictions during air alerts.
