According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten signed a defense cooperation agreement on April 16 during the President's visit to the Netherlands. This deal commits €482 million in Dutch investment for joint projects. A central component is a drone agreement proposed by Ukraine, which includes:

  • Joint unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing;
  • Air defense systems to counter missiles and drones;
  • Advancements in electronic warfare capabilities;
  • Co-production of weaponry within the Netherlands.

The two leaders signed documents to initiate the drone agreement and launch the first joint production facility on Dutch soil. They also agreed to continue developing the specifics of this collaboration. Prime Minister Rob Jetten emphasized the mutual benefits, stating:

'Both Ukrainians and we want to jointly develop our industry further so that it is beneficial for both Ukraine and for us. We will enhance our capacity, and Dutch industry will play a major role in this.' Rob Jetten
